Hello. I am Cole.

I am a Cloud Integration Consultant specializing in delivering data migration, replication, and integration strategies for Cloud HCM systems. My job is to make complicated data integrations simple, clean, and reliable. I work daily with integrating SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, SAP Cloud Platform, and on-premise SAP HCM systems.

I work full time as a Cloud Integration Consultant, where I architect and implement both pre-packaged and custom integrations for large, complex clients across the country. I am focused mostly in the HCM space where I have successfully integrated SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Central Payroll, SAP Cloud Platform (CPI / HCI), SAP HANA, and more. Our New Baby Boy

Carter Coleman Fennel was born on December 3, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center. Nikki and I are thrilled to welcome Carter into the world! Thank you to all of our family and friends who have supported us over the past few months and we look forward to you all meeting Carter soon.

Pups and Plants

Nikki and I adopted our first dog, Fennel, from the Toledo Humane Society. He was listed on the Humane Society website with the name Fennel and we loved him on our first visit, so he became Fennel Fennel. Our second dog, Panda, is a shih-tzu that we got as a puppy as a gift from my Mom. We love them both dearly. I also have about ~10 plants in my house that I have managed to keep alive for the past several years, including a giant fiddle leaf fig that sprawls across my living room.

Employment

Veritas Prime

Since 2020 I have worked as a Cloud Integration Lead with Veritas Prime. I work full time with my amazing teammates at Veritas Prime to use SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), Integration Center, and other technologies to help organizations transform their HCM / HR landscape by integrating their SuccessFactors modules with all kinds of different systems.

EPI-USE America

From 2016 to 2020 I worked as a SAP HCM / SuccessFactors Integration consultant for EPI-USE America. EPI-USE is part of groupelephant.com and has pledged to give 1% of all revenue towards protecting Elephants and Rhinos, and alleviating poverty among rural People (ERP).

Accenture

Immediately after finishing my undergraduate degree I worked as a Technology Consultant for Accenture in Chicago, IL. But that feels like a long time ago so I won't talk too much about that.

Project Experience

Purdue HCM Transformation

From late 2016 to mid 2019 I worked as SuccessFactors Data Migration and Integration Lead for a HCM transformation at Purdue University. Working full time on-site, I planned and executed data migration activities for a 35,000+ employee go live of SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, Recruiting, and Onboarding. My role involved using Business Integration Builder (BIB) to migrate employee data to the cloud, SAP Cloud Platform Integration Services (CPI, HCI) to build custom integration flows, and using point to point (PTP) integration to replicate data to Employee Central Payroll. Purdue successfully went live with SuccessFactors on January 1, 2019 for all employees across their multiple campuses.

Other Projects

In addition to my extensive experience at Purdue, I have been a Technical Architect or Integration Lead for 10+ SuccessFactors projects in the last few years. I continue to support many of these customers today through my employment at Veritas Prime.

University

Graduated with a BS degree in Computer Science Engineering from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Graduated magna cum laude in May 2014. Go Bucks!

Certifications

I am certified by SAP as a SAP Certified Professional - SAP SuccessFactors Full Cloud/Core Hybrid. I also hold Associate Certifications in SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, and SAP Cloud Integration / CPI.

Conferences and Continued Learning

I have been fortunate to be able to attend a few conferences in the past few years where I have continued to stay up to date on integration technologes. In the past I have attended SuccessConnect, SAP HR, and MuleSoft Connect.
